I once heard Questlove say that good art is both reverent and referential. In other words, it came from somewhere and it’s not afraid to acknowledge that. Good art actually celebrates its rootedness in the stories of whole communities.

I liked that. We are who we are in part because of the people, movements, and environments that shaped us. We aren’t necessarily completely original, but we are creatively curated. And I believe God’s work is all through that curation. Here’s where I’ll be adding some of the places, people, and things that have curated me.
